Terms of Service

The rules for using Rinari for Discord, its Studio panel and this website. Short where possible, specific where it matters.

Effective Version 1.0

The short version

  • Follow Discord’s rules and these terms, and I’m all yours. Well, your server’s.
  • Admins choose what I do in their server, and answer for it.
  • I’m an AI: double-check what I say before acting on it.
  • I try hard to stay online, but there are no guarantees.

A summary in Rinari’s voice. The full text below is what counts.

Accepting these terms

These terms apply to Rinari for Discord (“Rinari”, “the bot”, “the service”), its Studio panel and the website rinari.bot, operated by Xainner from Costa Rica (“we”). By adding the bot to a server, using its commands or signing in to Studio, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you add or configure the bot for a server, you confirm that you are allowed to do so for that server.

The service

Rinari is a Discord bot with modules for moderation, security, roles, support tickets, ModMail, levels, economy, community tools, music, notifications, game servers and AI, which each server turns on and configures in Studio. Features can change over time.

Some features depend on services you or your server provide, such as an AI provider with your own API key. Any costs those services charge are between you and them.

Discord’s rules come first

Rinari runs inside Discord. You must follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, including its minimum age, whenever you use the bot or Studio.

If you run a server

Server owners and administrators who add or configure Rinari are responsible for:

  • the modules they turn on, the permissions they give the bot and the actions taken with it in their server;
  • letting their members know about features that affect them, such as moderation logs, ticket transcripts or AI features;
  • the content they upload, such as knowledge documents, and the credentials they connect, such as AI provider keys or game server access, including their costs and the terms of those providers;
  • complying with the laws that apply to their community.

Acceptable use

You may not use Rinari to:

  • break the law or Discord’s rules, or harass, threaten, spam or raid anyone;
  • create or share illegal content, malware or content that exploits minors;
  • get around permissions, access servers or data you are not authorized to, or impersonate others;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the bot, Studio or their infrastructure;
  • generate prohibited content with the AI features, or break the terms of the AI provider your server uses.

AI and Rinari’s personality

Rinari is an AI with a playful character. Her personality is part of the product, but she is not a person and does not replace your judgment. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important before relying on it.

Actions Rinari proposes with AI pass through the bot’s permission checks and need approval from an authorized member, unless your server explicitly allowed specific operations to run on their own. You are responsible for the actions you approve or allow.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you and your server send to or create with Rinari. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Third-party services

Rinari connects to services we do not control, such as Discord, YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch, Reddit, game servers and AI providers. Their own terms apply, we are not responsible for them, and they may change or stop working. Use music and other media in line with the terms of their source.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Rinari available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost. We may change, pause or discontinue features, and we will try to give notice of significant changes.

Ending use

You can stop using Rinari at any time by removing the bot from your server and signing out of Studio. We may limit or stop access for users or servers that break these terms, harm others or put the service at risk.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or reputation, arising from the use of Rinari. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.

Names and art

The Rinari name, character, artwork, website and software belong to their owner and may not be used without permission. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc.; Rinari is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, and disputes go to its courts, without affecting any mandatory protections of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its effective date, and announce significant changes on this website before they apply. Continuing to use Rinari after that means you accept the new version.
